A man who allegedly stole $10.5 million in flat shoes and other furniture was arrested Wednesday morning in Los Angeles County, police said.
About 8:30 a.m.
Thursday, police responded to a report of a break-in in the 400 block of N. San Pedro Street in Westlake, said Sgt. Brian King, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his late 20s wearing a black shirt, dark pants and a black hat with the words “Beware of L.A.” on it.
Police found about $1.5 billion worth of furniture in the apartment and other personal belongings.
The burglary was discovered during a routine check of the apartment, King said.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Los Angeles Detention Center, where he was booked into jail on two felony burglary counts, including burglary of a dwelling and burglary with the intent to commit burglary, King told the Los Angles Times.
