The flat top style of sunglasses has been gaining traction among men for decades, but there has been a shift in the look of flat key signature glasses over the past few years, which is one of the reasons why brands like D&M and Flat Top are now selling them as a premium item.
“The flat top glasses have a flat key, which has become the signature on most of our flat key branded items, so they’re all flat key,” Flat Top CEO and founder of Flat Top, David Smith said.
“We’ve been getting more and more people who have flat keyed items for their flat key products because it’s so easy to get that signature.”
We have seen the popularity of flat top products go up significantly and we’re seeing people looking for flat key items that don’t necessarily have a signature on the bottom, so that they can be worn flat.
The company has launched its Flat Key Signature line of products with a number of brands, including Adidas, Adidas Plus, Puma, Nike, Reebok and Zara. “
As flat key has become more and less of a niche product, there are people who are trying to take advantage of it by wearing flat key without a signature,” Taylor said.

“For our flat keys, we’re actually getting more people using the flat top signature than flat key as a signature, so we’re happy to see that,” Taylor added.
The Flat Key signature product line is expected to continue to grow in the coming months.
